Emma was celebrating her son’s 13th birthday when she encountered difficulty during a boat trip. Despite the heroic efforts of those around her, Emma tragically died in the presence of her family.

Emma leaves behind four children, whom her family describes as her greatest joy. Her mother, Diane Astley, and friends remember her as a devoted mother, daughter, and friend, always ready to help anyone in need. Emma was described as “the kindest soul, beautiful inside and out.”
