She was the victim of a tragic shooting incident on September 16, 2025, in Columbus, Nebraska. Officials confirmed that her partner, Jack Reig, has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder in connection with her death.

Funeral Arrangements
To honor Kennedi’s life, funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Fullerton, with Reverend Vern Olson officiating.
- Visitation: Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.
- Burial: Following the funeral service at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton.
