The Columbia Heights Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from state and federal agencies, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The primary suspect is Ashley Gooch, 38, described as a Black female, 5’5″ tall, weighing 158 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair styled in pink braids. She was last seen pushing Dior in a stroller while wearing an orange-and-white sundress and carrying a black backpack.
Last Known Location
Ashley and Dior were last spotted walking west on 37th Avenue, crossing University Avenue in Columbia Heights — a busy area with access to multiple major roads, raising concerns that Ashley may quickly leave the region.
Public Appeal
Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have surveillance or dashcam footage to contact authorities immediately. They emphasize that Ashley should not be approached directly.
